چکیده

—To improve the speed of traditional signal sampling and processing, which is based on the Nyqusit-sampling theorem, a new theorem called Compressive Sensing (CS) is presented. Most work in CS has focused on reconstructing the high-bandwidth signals from nonuniform low-rate samples. However, the signal reconstruction process of CS needs large amount of computation. In this paper, under the frame of CS, a method called Correlation-Index Blind Classification (CIBC) using the Correlation-Index to realize MFSK signal classification is presented, which exploits the compressive measurements without reconstructing the original signal or knowing any parameter. CIBC processes the compressive measurements directly, avoiding the high computation of reconstruction. What’s more, compared with the traditional Peak-Index, the promotion of computing speed is significant, and the performance decreases very little. The simulation results show that CIBC has good performance and low computation complexity. It’s an effective method to improve the real-time performance of communication system.

A Preliminary Assessment of Rock Slope Stability in Tropical Climates: A Case Study at Lafarge Quarry, Perak, Malaysia

The stability analysis of rock slopes is a complex task for the geotechnical engineers due to the complex nature of the rock mass in a tropical climate that often has discontinuities in several forms, and consequently, in several types of slope failures. In this work, a rock mass classification scheme is followed in a tropical environment using the Rock Mass Rating (RMR) and Geological St...

Correlation between Uniaxial Compressive Strength and Point Load Index for Salt-Range Rocks

Nine rock types including Sandstone, Limestone, Siltstone, Dolomite and Marl collected from six different rock formations of the Salt Range area of Pakistan were tested to evaluate the correlations between the uniaxial compressive strength and the corresponding values of the point load index. Two hundred rock cores were drilled and used for the uniaxial compressive strength and point load index...

A Correlation for Estimating LCPC Abrasivity Coefficient using Rock Properties

Rock abrasivity, as one of the most important parameters affecting the rock drillability, significantly influences the drilling rate in mines. Therefore, rock abrasivity should be carefully evaluated prior to selecting and employing drilling machines. Since the tests for a rock abrasivity assessment require sophisticated laboratory equipment, empirical models can be used to predict rock a...

Maximum-Likelihood Classification for MPSK with Compressive Samplings

This paper focuses on the classification of the MPSK modulations using compressive measurements in additional Gaussian white noise (AWGN). Under the compressive sensing (CS) frame, the compressive maximum-likelihood (CML) classifier provided in this paper tries to recognize the MPSK signals using far fewer samplings than traditional maximum-likelihood (TML) classifier needs. This paper presents...
